Sneaky Giraffe-a-Kiki

I have been tossing around what costume to get for Hannah for Halloween this year. She really is into Cinderella right now, but as most of you know, I am about as anti-princess as you can get. So, I was really stalling at shopping for some princess garb.

Well...we were at Wally-World earlier this week and Hannah saw a costume that she couldn't leave on the rack. And it all stems from her love for Toopy & Binoo. There is an episode where an imaginary character called a "Sneaky Giraffe-a-Kiki" leaves muddy footprints all over the house, and Toopy & Binoo try their hardest to catch it. In the end, they succeed. Every time Hannah watches this episode, she belly laughs at the little muddy footprints as they trapse around the house.

It goes back even further, because Hannah has always showed interest in giraffes, from her first trip to the zoo in 2007 where she sqwaked at the giraffes from her stroller, even through today with her little stuffed giraffe that she carries around from time to time. So I guess it was no surprise to me when she fell in love with the giraffe costume.

Meet Hannah - the Sneaky Giraffe-a-Kiki.
Isn't she cute?
And...yes...for those who have been asking (ahem...Mom), an official Finished the big girl bedroom post is coming...just as soon as I finish laundering the ladybug bedding.

Hannah and Michael (my Michael) have a love in common! He absolutely loves giraffes and it has been his wish for the past year to grow up to be a zoo-keeper and especially to take care of the giraffes. A year of knowing what you want to be when you grow up is pretty telling at this age, I think!
