California Rewind: Barbara's Birthday

I love it when I am in town to celebrate special days. Today was Barbara's birthday, and we were invited to her mom's house for a little gathering/birthday dinner. Mom and I had tons of fun shopping for her birthday present (a garden peacock - take a picture for me Barb!), and I had lots of fun wrapping it...because wrapping a present is always MY job.

Barb and I have been friends since I can't remember when. Long enough to know nearly everything about each other, including all the stuff that we did when we were young and stupid...and later swore we would never talk about again. :) Buddies for life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I love you so much Barb, and am so glad that despite the crazy kids running around that night, we were able to sit at the table and celebrate you, and the incredible friendship we have cultivated over the years. Here is to as many more years of frienship as we can squeak out of our crazy lives. :)
