Baby Shower

On Sunday the 14th of September, Hannah, Mike & I hosted a baby shower at our house. Although, it was almost more of a get together for a few friends than a "baby shower". Two of my friends (ladies that I met in a new-mom's mall walking group) are pregnant with #2. One of which, did not have a baby shower for her first, Lexi (the little girl in red). So the other lady and I decided to throw a party. We had BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, salad and a bunch of other yummy food, like an ice cream cake....ooOOOOooo that was a hit. I didn't take many pictures because I was running around being the "hostess with the mostest", and of course the one picture that I wanted to get, I didn't. But that is okay. I don't think these two ladies wanted their picture taken. The party was all about the kids anyways. :)

I don't know what they were doing. Probably taking turns drawing on the mini etch-a-sketch. Note the art on the window. Yet something else I didn't take pictures of. We had the kids do some foot painting. Very very fun, slippery and messy.

Mike will kill me for posting this picture, but it was too funny. After being pretty quiet during the party, he finally warmed up when one of the kids started playing on the piano. And it wasn't long before ther was quite a little jam session.
One of the other husbands joined in on Mike's Grandfather's banjo, but it was harder to figure out than a guitar. They tried really hard to play "dueling banjos" but it didn't work out.

Thanks for coming to our baby shower ladies (and husbands). We should totally do this again after the two little ones arrive. :)
