Washington, DC - Day 3

We took a bus tour around DC this morning and saw some awesome monuments (from a distance). We parked at the Jefferson Memorial and walked around before catching the bus. Here are some pictures I took.

The Washington Memorial. I love the reflection. The Jefferson Memorial. Wow. All I could think about doing was taking some wedding portraits here. This is definitely an amazing building.

The WWII memorial. Wish we could have gotten out to look around, but we were racing the clock. We had a playdate scheduled later that afternoon, and if we spent time anywhere, we would have been really late.

Speaking of playdate, we made it, just a few minutes late. We were greeted by my friend Lori's 5 year old daughter, Sheila. Big smiles...she was meeting a new friend today.

Hannah tripped and fell. Not a minute later, JJ was there, helping her back up. What a sweet heart. JJ is only a few weeks older than Hannah.

We brought these rainbow ribbons to play with, and I'm so glad we did. They made for some bright & colorful pictures.

Hehe, JJ was running so fast that he lost a shoe.

Oh what a tangled mess! But oh so much fun.

Then, Sheila decided they should have a ribbon parade. JJ and Hannah fell into place perfectly, and were perfectly spaced too. So cute!

What a fun day, visiting some amazing monuments and amazing friends. Thanks for meeting us at the park and spending a short playdate with us. I wish we had the opportunity to hang out a little longer. Maybe sometime in the future we can arrange another get together. :( Miss you!
