Michael decided that he wanted to go to Fort Edmonton Park for Father's Day, and have a picnic afterward. Being that it was his day, I said, let's go for it. So we coordinated with the in laws and away we went. But...what was supposed to be a day about celebrating Daddy & Grandpa, turned into a day about Hannah having fun.
The carousel wasn't quite ready to ride when we got there. So she and Grandpa talked about which horse she wanted to ride.
But Grandpa was left sitting on the bench because she wanted Grandma to ride with her. Poor Grandpa.

Watching Daddy throw a ball at some bottles...
And win a prize just for Hannah.
Going on the Ferris Wheel with Daddy...
And insisting on getting off before it even started.
Riding something a little more her speed - a pink butterfly.
Chasing a chicken. Oh what fun!
I was highly amused with these 3-month old turkeys (staff told me they were 3-months old). I love how they were just hanging out on the fence.
Riding "Yoshi" Pony. She LOVED it.
Oh ya, she loved riding that pony.Yeehaw!
Listening to a barber shop quartet.
After we had our fun at Fort Edmonton Park, and our picnic, we came back to our house to have more fun, hamburgers and corn on the cob.Hannah and Daddy playing some lawn bowling. Although, Hannah didn't roll the ball. I love her facial expression here. Full of concentration.
Grandpa reading the instructions on how to play lawn bowling.
Hannah doing a potato race...and cheating. Note Daddy & Grandpa just sitting around on the chairs in the background. I guess it was their day to do nothing. Everyone deserves a day like that.
Hannah and Grandma having a sack race. The bag was so big on her, she was able to run in the bag, and not hop. She was pretty darn fast.
Hannah and Grandma doing a three-legged race. Hannah didn't like having her leg tied to Grandma, so Grandma improvised.
And after a long busy day, Hannah finally understood what Father's Day is really about. It's about spending quality time alone with her Daddy.

You have exceeded my expectations for you as a husband and father in so many ways. I can't wait to watch you with the kids as they grow older. Thank you. I look forward to spending the rest of my life loving you more every day.
